Witness Account

DAVID [REDACTED] WEAVER, residing at 15801 Decosta, Detroit, Michigan (telephone KEnwood X-7586), telephonically contacted this office at 4:08 A.M. on this date to report that he had just observed an unidentified object in the sky.

WEAVER described the object as circular in shape, bearing a crystal-type dome that reflected lights. The object was traveling in a northerly direction. It was first observed to the southwest and crossed over the city three blocks south of Six Mile Road at Lamphere Street, Detroit.

WEAVER stated he attempted to reach Selfridge Field in order to notify the Air Force, but those attempts were unproductive. He then contacted this office to furnish the information.

Witness Background

WEAVER advised that he is 23 years of age, is the son of a Detroit police officer, and has prior experience with the Civil Air Patrol (CAP); however, he acknowledged he is not particularly familiar with the identification of aircraft. He was returning home from his place of employment in Detroit when he observed the object.

Recommendation

Advise proper Air Force authorities.

DAVID [REDACTADO] WEAVER, residente à 15801 Decosta, Detroit, Michigan (telefone KEnwood X-7586), entrou em contato telefônico com este escritório às 4h08 da madrugada desta data para informar que havia acabado de observar um objeto não identificado no céu.

WEAVER descreveu o objeto como circular, com uma cúpula de aspecto cristalino que refletia luz. O objeto se deslocava em direção norte. Foi avistado inicialmente a sudoeste e cruzou a cidade três quarteirões ao sul da Six Mile Road, na esquina com a Lamphere Street, Detroit.

WEAVER afirmou ter tentado entrar em contato com o Campo Selfridge para notificar a Força Aérea, mas as tentativas foram infrutíferas. Em seguida, ligou para este escritório a fim de prestar as informações acima.
