Overview
This is a Mission Report (MISREP) submitted by the 482nd Attack Squadron (482ATKS) documenting an ISR mission conducted over Iraq under Operation INHERENT RESOLVE on 1–2 December 2022. During the mission, the aircraft observed one possible Unidentified Aerial Phenomenon (UAP) or UAV flying west to east in the vicinity of Baghdad at 1620Z on 1 December. The crew did not divert to follow the object and continued tasked operations without further incident.

ISR Mission Narrative

At 1620Z on 1 December 2022, the aircraft observed one (1) possible UAP or UAV flying west to east in the vicinity of grid 38SMB4[redacted]83[1.4a redacted], IVO Baghdad, Iraq.
The crew did not divert to follow the object. The aircraft continued the mission as tasked. No further events were observed for the remainder of the sortie.
