Background

On September [redacted] 2023, [redacted] and FBI Special Agent [redacted] interviewed [redacted] (office) and [redacted] (cell), in Building [redacted]. [redacted]'s supervisor sat in on the interview. After being advised of the identity of the interviewing agents and the nature of the interview, [redacted] provided the following information.

[redacted] had been the [redacted] / [redacted] at [redacted] for [redacted] years. At the time of the sighting, she had approximately fifteen years of experience working at [redacted] and had seen most of the aircraft and drones used by the US military.

The Morning of the Sighting

On September [redacted] 2023, [redacted] was with [redacted] contractors working on a special project with [redacted]. She had restricted the airspace on [redacted] for the upcoming tests.

At 7:05 am, the contractors received the base's standard [redacted] brief, boarded three vehicles, and began driving to the test site.

[redacted] drove the first vehicle with [redacted] as the front passenger. Contractors [redacted] and [redacted] were in the second and third vehicles.

Gate Anomaly

Between 7:15 and 7:30 am, [redacted] drove down [redacted] to a gate that restricted access to part of the [redacted]. She attempted to open the gate remotely using a fob. The gate opened slightly and then closed — on three separate attempts. On the fourth attempt the gate opened completely and remained open.

Agent note: There were no prior operational problems with that particular gate, and there were no operating issues with the gate after September [redacted].

UAP Sighting

As [redacted] drove through the gate, she looked up and saw a cigar-shaped object with an extremely bright light, southwest of her position, approximately 500 to 3,000 feet above the nearest tree line (the tree line was approximately one mile southwest of [redacted]'s position).

Object characteristics:

• The object was already present when she looked up — she did not observe it arrive.
• It was almost hovering, moving slowly from east to west.
• The light was an intense diamond-white with what appeared to be a ring around it, located on the eastern end of the object and pointing southeast. Looking at it was like looking into the sun.
• The object was "metallic bronze in color."
• Length: equivalent to two or three Blackhawk helicopters lined up nose to tail.
• Width: approximately one and a half Blackhawks wide — though this was difficult to determine because the light on the eastern end may have been obscuring part of the body.
• The object was completely silent.

[redacted] was initially annoyed when she saw the object, believing it was in her restricted airspace, but she quickly realized it was not an aircraft or drone.

She inched her vehicle forward while she and [redacted] watched the object. They observed it for five to ten seconds, after which the object simply disappeared. The sky was clear with no clouds; the object left no contrails. They searched the sky but did not see it again.

[redacted] noticed no interference with her vehicle's engine while the object was visible. She observed only the one object and felt that "it left when it saw them."

Corroboration and Aftermath

After driving to the test site, [redacted] — a passenger in the second vehicle — reported that he had also seen the object.

[redacted] stated she would not have reported the object had she seen it by herself. Several of her co-workers subsequently made fun of her as a result of her report.

No photos or video of the object were taken by [redacted] or any of the contractors.

Contexto

Em setembro de [redacted] de 2023, [redacted] e o Agente Especial do FBI [redacted] entrevistaram [redacted] (escritório) e [redacted] (celular), no Edifício [redacted]. A Manhã do Avistamento

Às 7h05, os contratados receberam o [redacted] padrão da base, embarcaram em três veículos e partiram em direção ao local de testes.

[redacted] conduzia o primeiro veículo, tendo [redacted] como passageiro no banco dianteiro. Os contratados [redacted] e [redacted] estavam no segundo e terceiro veículos, respectivamente.

Anomalia com o Portão

Entre 7h15 e 7h30, [redacted] chegou a um portão que restringia o acesso a parte da [redacted]. Ela tentou abrir o portão remotamente com um controle (fob). O portão abriu um pouco e fechou — em três tentativas consecutivas. Na quarta tentativa, o portão abriu completamente e permaneceu aberto.

Nota do agente: Não havia registros de problemas operacionais anteriores com aquele portão específico, e tampouco foram registradas falhas após setembro de [redacted].

Avistamento do UAP

Ao passar pelo portão, [redacted] olhou para cima e avistou um objeto em formato de charuto com uma luz extremamente intensa, a sudoeste de sua posição, a aproximadamente 150 a 900 metros acima da copa das árvores mais próximas (a linha de árvores ficava a aproximadamente um quilômetro e meio a sudoeste da posição de [redacted]).

Características do objeto:

• O objeto já estava presente quando ela olhou para cima — ela não observou sua chegada.
• Estava quase parado, movendo-se lentamente de leste para oeste.
• A luz era branca diamante, de intensidade extrema, com o que pareceu ser um anel ao seu redor, localizada na extremidade leste do objeto e apontando para sudeste. Olhar diretamente para ela era como encarar o sol.
• O objeto era "cor de bronze metálico."
• Comprimento: equivalente a dois ou três helicópteros Blackhawk enfileirados de nariz a cauda.
• Largura: aproximadamente um Blackhawk e meio — embora fosse difícil determinar com precisão, pois a luz na extremidade leste possivelmente ocultava parte do corpo do objeto.
• O objeto era completamente silencioso.

[redacted] ficou inicialmente irritada ao ver o objeto, acreditando que havia invadido o espaço aéreo restrito que ela mesma havia delimitado, mas rapidamente percebeu que não se tratava de uma aeronave nem de um drone.

Ela avançou lentamente com o veículo enquanto ela e [redacted] observavam o objeto. Eles o viram por cinco a dez segundos, após os quais o objeto simplesmente desapareceu. Corroboração e Desdobramentos

Ao chegarem ao local de testes, [redacted] — passageiro no segundo veículo — declarou que também havia visto o objeto.

[redacted] afirmou que não teria relatado o avistamento caso o tivesse visto sozinha. Vários de seus colegas de trabalho posteriormente fizeram piada com ela em razão do relato.
