Interview Summary

On September [redacted], 2023, [redacted] and FBI Special Agent [redacted] interviewed [redacted] via FaceTime video. [redacted] sat in on the interview; [redacted] and [redacted] were in [redacted] at the time.

After being advised of the identities of the interviewing agents and the nature of the interview, [redacted] provided the following information.

Witness Background

[redacted] was a [redacted] in the [redacted] of [redacted]. He had been a [redacted] since [redacted] and had ten to fifteen hours of experience as a drone pilot.

Events of September [redacted], 2023

On the morning of the incident, [redacted] was at [redacted] with three other contractors and [redacted] for LiDAR tests with [redacted]. After receiving a [redacted], the five of them got into three vehicles, with [redacted] driving the first vehicle and [redacted] as her passenger.

The three vehicles began driving south at approximately 7:30 AM. The sun was in the east and visibility was good.

UAP Observation

The convoy came to a gate that was giving [redacted] trouble. At about three-quarters up the windshield, [redacted] observed:

• A linear object with a super-bright white light on its east side — bright enough to see distinct bands within the light
• Color: metallic / gray
• Features: no wings, no exhaust
• Size: smaller than a Boeing 737; approximately one to two Blackhawk helicopters in length; definitively larger than a drone
• Altitude: approximately 5,000 feet above ground level
• Movement: east to west, parallel to the ground
• Duration: five to ten seconds; the light then extinguished and the object vanished
• Sky conditions: clear; [redacted] could not locate the object again after it disappeared
• The object maintained the same size and light intensity throughout the observation
• [redacted] did not see the object while approaching the small bridge at the gate — only noticed it while passing through the gate
• No vehicle interference was observed

Witness Reactions (On-site)

[redacted] was initially annoyed upon seeing the object, because the airspace had been restricted for the drone tests the group was about to conduct. [redacted], in the second vehicle, attempted to direct [redacted] to the object but was unsuccessful.

Aftermath

That night a storm passed through; the television in [redacted]'s hotel room went out. Still unsettled, he went downstairs to confirm whether the outage affected all TVs in the hotel or only his own. [redacted] experienced strange dreams and had difficulty sleeping for the first two nights after the sighting.

Observação do OAP

O comboio chegou a um portão que apresentava problemas para [redacted]. A aproximadamente três quartos da altura do para-brisa, [redacted] avistou:

• Um objeto linear com uma luz branca intensa no lado leste — brilhante o suficiente para revelar faixas distintas dentro da luz
• Cor: metálico / cinza
• Características: sem asas, sem rastro de exaustão
• Tamanho: menor que um Boeing 737; com comprimento equivalente a um ou dois helicópteros Black Hawk; definitivamente maior que um drone
• Altitude: aproximadamente 5.000 pés acima do nível do solo
• Movimento: de leste a oeste, paralelo ao solo
• Duração: cinco a dez segundos; a luz então se apagou e o objeto desapareceu
• Condições do céu: limpo; [redacted] não conseguiu localizar o objeto novamente após o desaparecimento
• O objeto manteve o mesmo tamanho e a mesma intensidade luminosa durante toda a observação
• [redacted] não avistou o objeto enquanto se aproximava da pequena ponte no portão — só o percebeu ao passar pelo próprio portão
• Não foi observada qualquer interferência nos veículos

Reações das Testemunhas (no local)

[redacted] ficou inicialmente irritado ao avistar o objeto, pois o espaço aéreo estava restrito para os testes de drone que o grupo estava prestes a conduzir. [redacted], no segundo veículo, tentou fazer com que [redacted] visse o objeto, mas sem sucesso.
