This Mission Report (MISREP) documents an Air Force ISR sortie conducted on 9 November 2023 under Operation INHERENT RESOLVE, 609th Combined Air Operations Center (CAOC), USCENTCOM. The mission included three ISR collection periods and concluded with the observation of an Unidentified Aerial Phenomenon (UAP) while the crew was returning to base.

At 0217Z, [redacted — 1.4a] was 7-lined to support DATA MASKED. The aircraft did not arrive on station at grid 38S MB 48[redacted]86[redacted] (see On/Off-Station Log 1).
At 0355Z, [redacted — 1.4a] was 7-lined again to support DATA MASKED. The aircraft arrived on station at 0431Z, checked in with DATA MASKED, and performed FMV/SIGINT collection at grid 37S FU 81[redacted]06[redacted] (see ISR Log 2).
At 0539Z, [redacted — 1.4a] was 7-lined to support DATA MASKED. The aircraft arrived on station at 0805Z, checked in with DATA MASKED, and performed FMV/SIGINT collection at grid 38S MB 48[redacted]86[redacted] (see ISR Log 3).

At 0528Z, one vehicle parked east of the COI (center of interest) was assessed as a probable IMINT match to the VOI (vehicle of interest). Narrative (SECRET//REL TO USA, FVEY): Upon arrival at the building at 0805Z, [redacted — 1.4a] observed one white SUV with a rear-mounted tire, assessed to be a probable VOI, parked on the north side. One additional individual (ADM) assessed to be a probable POI (person of interest) was observed inside the building. Assessment, identification slant, and disposition were derived from [redacted — 1.4a] S2 (intelligence officer).
From 0805Z to 1552Z, [redacted — 1.4a] conducted a 6-stop follow on the probable VOI and POI, resulting in EEI-related activity:
- Stop 2, 0926Z: The probable POI and one additional individual exited the south side of the residence and entered the front-left and front-right seats of the probable VOI.
- 0939Z: [redacted — 1.4a] received a probable IMINT match to the individual who had exited the south side of the residence and entered the front-right seat of the probable VOI.
- Upon loss of positive identification (PID), [redacted — 1.4a] reset to [redacted — 1.4a] at 1632Z and observed no further EEI-related activity.
- 1719Z: Two previously observed individuals were assessed as a possible/probable IMINT match to the POI.

UAP Narrative (SECRET//NOFORN)
While returning to base (RTB) at 2153Z, [redacted — 1.4a] observed one probable hard-copy (HC) UAP shaped like a bouncy ball approaching from the south at near co-altitude. [Redacted — 1.4a] observed the probable UAP drop altitude and safely pass their aircraft while consistently maintaining approximately 424 knots.
After 7 minutes of observation, the probable UAP went out of range and [redacted — 1.4a] continued their RTB. No emissions were detected from the probable UAP. The UAP was not considered a threat to the aircraft or to public safety, and it had no effects on the aircrew.

Narrativa (SECRETO//REL TO USA, FVEY): Ao chegar ao edifício às 0805Z, [redatado — 1.4a] observou um SUV branco com pneu sobressalente traseiro, avaliado como provável VOI, estacionado no lado norte. Um indivíduo adicional (ADM), avaliado como provável POI (pessoa de interesse), estava no interior do edifício. A avaliação, identidade e disposição foram derivadas do oficial de inteligência (S2) de [redatado — 1.4a].
De 0805Z a 1552Z, [redatado — 1.4a] conduziu um acompanhamento com 6 paradas no provável VOI e POI, resultando em atividade relacionada a EEI:
- Parada 2, 0926Z: O provável POI e um indivíduo adicional saíram pelo lado sul da residência e entraram nas posições dianteiras esquerda e direita do provável VOI.
- 0939Z: [Redatado — 1.4a] recebeu provável correspondência IMINT ao indivíduo que saiu pelo lado sul da residência e entrou no banco dianteiro direito do provável VOI.

Narrativa do UAP (SECRETO//NOFORN)
Durante o retorno à base (RTB) às 2153Z, [redatado — 1.4a] observou um provável UAP de categoria HC com formato de bola de borracha vindo do sul, em altitude próxima à da aeronave observadora (near co-altitude). [Redatado — 1.4a] observou o provável UAP perder altitude e passar com segurança pela aeronave, mantendo consistentemente aproximadamente 424 nós.
Após 7 minutos de observação, o provável UAP saiu do alcance e [redatado — 1.4a] continuou o retorno à base. Nenhuma emissão foi detectada proveniente do provável UAP. O UAP não foi considerado uma ameaça à aeronave nem à segurança pública, e não teve efeitos sobre a tripulação.
